The Challenge: Clarity in a Multi-Use Space

When a corporate café designed for casual interaction began hosting all-company meetings, the space revealed a critical limitation. While visually open and inviting, it lacked the technical infrastructure to support clear communication at scale.

Employees struggled to hear presenters, and important messages were often lost due to poor audio distribution and ambient noise. The environment was not built to handle structured communication, making engagement difficult during key meetings.

The Execution

To address the challenges of a dynamic, open environment, Justin led a collaborative and detail-driven approach from discovery through implementation:

  • User-Centered Planning: Identified how employees interacted with the space during both casual and formal use.
  • Cross-Team Coordination: Worked closely with design, engineering, and project teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Environment Analysis: Assessed acoustic challenges caused by open layouts, hard surfaces, and ambient noise.
  • System Testing & Validation: Ensured performance across different meeting scenarios before deployment.
  • Deployment Optimization: Fine-tuned system settings to balance clarity, coverage, and ease of use.
