AV Application Engineer - Columbus, OH

Radiant Technology is looking for an AV Application Engineerto provide a professional level of knowledge in programming, installing, maintaining, tuning, and developing AV programs for audio visual systems. This is for the person that exudes excellence and understands audio video integration systems and user interface design. What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Program, load, troubleshoot and update software to optimize system performance, in addition to ease of access for non-technical users. 
  • Analyze and ensure security and integrity of all audio and visual systems. 
  • Provides technical assistance and resolves related issues for users and personnel. 
  • Collaborate with internal / external resources and support team to ensure needs are met. 
  • First tier routing of support tickets that require engineering assistance. 
  • Analyze, test, and implement system and software, ensuring operating system compatibility. 
  • Maintains current knowledge of QSC, Crestron, Biamp, Extron and other related products, their applications across a variety of audiovisual equipment, digital signage, and video conferencing. 
  • Assist with professional development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company. 

Who You Are: 

  • Experience with Crestron Digital Media systems, Crestron programming, Audio DSP systems, Video and Audio-conferencing systems, Network architecture and Q-sys control systems is required. 
  • Minimum 4 years AV industry experience and minimum of 2+ years of AV programming/DSP/VTC experience is required. 
  • Minimum 2 years of AV troubleshooting skills and experience. 
  • Knowledge of installing and testing code onsite or remote. 
  • Certified Crestron Programmer (CCP) and ACE Certifications are a plus. 
  • Q-sys level 1, level 2, control 101, control 201 are a plus. 
  • Communicate and interact with customers to creatively discover the “art of possible” working within their objectives and budgets. 
  • Sets clear expectations with customers and colleagues to keep everyone on track. 
  • Methodical – Ability to apply a systematic approach and follow through to overcome Obstacles. 
  • Self-motivated, focused on overcoming obstacles instead of waiting for others to encourage you. 
  • Detail Oriented – Meticulous in quality control and perfecting one’s work. 
  • You have and effectively practice outstanding communication skills. 
  • CTS-I, CTS-D, CTS preferred. 

Other Requirements: 

  • A high school diploma or GED. 
  • Authorization to work in the USA. 
  • Background checks and drug screening are part of our employment process.
