Technical Supervisor - Columbus, OH

Radiant Technology is seeking a Technical Supervisor who is responsible for overseeing the installation teams, ensuring that audio-visual projects are executed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. This role involves direct site supervision, conducting training and certifications, performing site surveys, quality control visits, managing technical escalations, and providing mentorship to staff. The Technical Supervisor plays a critical role in the day-to-day management of installation staff and requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strong communication abilities to effectively manage and support the team and ensure successful project outcomes.

What You’ll Be Doing: 

  • Site Supervision and Installation
  • Oversee daily operations at installation sites. 
  • Coordinate and manage installation teams. 
  • Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve on-site technical issues. 
  • Conduct Training and Task Certifications
  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure team members are skilled and certified. 
  • Create and update training materials. 
  • Conduct training sessions per quarter and maintain records of training and certifications. 
  • Site Surveys, Quality Control Visits & Technical Escalations
  • Conduct initial and ongoing site surveys to assess project requirements. 
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with standards. 
  • Handle and resolve technical issues that are escalated. 
  • Mentorship and Coaching
  • Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff to enhance their skills and performance. 
  • Conduct regular mentoring sessions and develop individualized training plans. 
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback. 
  • Internal Meetings
  • Lead internal meetings such as L-10’s, L-1’s, and project briefings. 
  • Plan and organize meeting agendas, facilitate discussions, and ensure accountability. 

 
Who You Are: 

  • Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate installation teams, ensuring high-quality and efficient project execution. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical challenges with innovative solutions. 
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. 
  • Minimum of 5,000 hours leading audio-visual projects. 
  • In-depth technical expertise in audio-visual equipment, systems, and industry standards. 
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues. 
  • Proficiency in creating and interpreting detailed technical documentation. 

Other Requirements: 

  • A high school diploma or GED. 
  • Authorization to work in the USA. 
  • Background checks and drug screening are part of our employment process. 
  • Clean driving record required. 
  • CTS-I 
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health 
  • Project Management for AV (AVIXA) 
  • Certified in all Tech 1-3 skill requirements 
  • Audiovisual Network Professional® Certification (AVIXA)
